Imou Life

Imou Life serves as the essential companion app for managing your Imou smart home security ecosystem, encompassing video doorbells, door stations, cameras, sensors, and Network Video Recorders (NVRs). Its primary function is to enable remote interaction with these devices, allowing you to monitor your property and respond to events from anywhere. For instance, when a visitor presses your Imou doorbell, your phone will receive an incoming video call, which you can answer to see and speak with them directly.

Answering Your Door Remotely

The app facilitates direct communication with visitors at your door, even when you’re away. When an Imou doorbell or door station is pressed, your phone rings with an incoming video call. You can answer or decline this call directly from your lock screen, ensuring you don’t miss a visitor. Once connected, the app provides two-way audio, allowing you to see and converse with the person at your door.

Remote Monitoring and Control

Imou Life provides comprehensive remote access to your security devices. You can watch live video feeds from your Imou cameras or play back recorded footage at your convenience, regardless of your location. For immediate security responses, the app also allows you to remotely activate built-in sirens or spotlights on compatible devices to deter potential intruders.

Intelligent Alerts

To keep you informed of significant events, the app delivers instant alerts whenever something occurs that triggers your Imou devices. It incorporates AI human detection technology to help minimize false alerts, focusing on relevant events. Users can also set a specific schedule for when these alerts should be active, tailoring notifications to their daily routine.

Data Security and Sharing

User privacy is a core aspect of Imou Life, with the app emphasizing compliance with GDPR regulations. All audio and video transmissions are encrypted to protect your data. For video storage, the app supports cloud storage, ensuring that your recordings are accessible even if a physical device is lost or compromised. Furthermore, Imou Life allows you to share access to your devices with family and friends, offering custom permissions to control what they can view or manage. You can also easily share specific video clips as needed.
